This paper presents a method for relative pose estimation between two devices. Typically pose estimation is based on detecting positions of known feature points of a tracked object. I literally take a new viewpoint to this problem by considering two camera-enabled devices tracking each other.

The task of estimating position of objects and human body in three-dimensional space is more challenging than in 2D, but the result is stunning. In this chapter we'll cover basic principles of camera optics and fundamentals of 3D reconstruction with a monocular and multiview camera.

Pose estimation for planar structures
IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications, 2002We address the registration problem for interactive AR applications. Such applications require a real-time registration process. Although the registration problem has received a lot of attention in the computer vision community, it's far from being solved. Ideally, an AR system should work in all environments without the need to prepare the scene ahead

Human Pose Estimation (HPE) aims at retrieving the position of human joints from images or videos. In many winter sports, the human pose captures only part of the action, as practitioners use skis and poles for propulsion and balance on the snow. In this work we propose a novel architecture that estimates the position of skis and poles as an integral ...

The aim of human pose estimation is to detect and estimate the configuration of the articulation structure of a person. Human pose estimation has become a popular research topic including a wide range of approaches. Marker-based approaches, for example, are one of the most precise methods, but they need special markers attached to the human body.
