Construção de Domínios Bi-Scott via Completação por Ideais

open access: yesTrends in Computational and Applied Mathematics, 2007
Uma técnica para lidar com domínios não contáveis através de domínios contáveis é usar a noção de completação. Neste artigo, propomos uma representação de domínios bi-Scott (domínios de Scott cuja reversa também é um domínio deScott) via completação por ...

Primitivity testing in free group algebras via duality

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 113, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract Let K$K$ be a field and F$F$ a free group. By a classical result of Cohn and Lewin, the free group algebra KF$K\left[F\right]$ is a free ideal ring (FIR): a ring over which the submodules of free modules are themselves free, and of a well‐defined rank. Given a finitely generated right ideal I⩽KF$I\leqslant K\left[F\right]$ and an element f∈I$f\

Applications of Fixed Point Theorems to Generalized Saddle Points of Bifunctions on Chain-Complete Posets

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
We apply the extensions of the Abian-Brown fixed point theorem for set-valued mappings on chain-complete posets to examine the existence of generalized and extended saddle points of bifunctions defined on posets.

Realization of Posets

open access: yesJournal of Graph Algorithms and Applications, 2002
We prove a very general representation theorem for posets and, as a corollary, deduce that any abstract simplicial complex S has a geometric realization in the Euclidean space of dimension P(S)-1, where P(S) is the Dushnik-Miller dimension of the face order of S.

A poset hierarchy

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2006
AbstractThis article extends a paper of Abraham and Bonnet which generalised the famous Hausdorff characterisation of the class of scattered linear orders. They gave an inductively defined hierarchy that characterised the class of scattered posets which do not have infinite incomparability antichains (i.e. have the FAC).

Infinity‐operadic foundations for embedding calculus

open access: yesJournal of Topology, Volume 19, Issue 2, June 2026.
Abstract Motivated by applications to spaces of embeddings and automorphisms of manifolds, we consider a tower of ∞$\infty$‐categories of truncated right modules over a unital ∞$\infty$‐operad O$\mathcal {O}$. We study monoidality and naturality properties of this tower, identify its layers, describe the difference between the towers as O$\mathcal {O}$

ON COLOURING MAPS & SEMIDIRECT PRODUCT GROUPOIDS ON GROUP-POSETS [PDF]

open access: yesمجلة التربية والعلم, 2007
In this paper we will study the (G,H)- posets , to give a condition of freeness on colouring maps . Also we will look at the group – posets from the view point of the category theory . That is to give some results on semi-direct product poset groupoid.

Twisted ambidexterity in equivariant homotopy theory

open access: yesJournal of Topology, Volume 19, Issue 2, June 2026.
Abstract We develop the concept of twisted ambidexterity in a parametrized presentably symmetric monoidal ∞$\infty$‐category, which generalizes the notion of ambidexterity by Hopkins and Lurie and the Wirthmüller isomorphisms in equivariant stable homotopy theory, and is closely related to Costenoble–Waner duality.

Sorting and Selection in Posets [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Twentieth Annual ACM-SIAM Symposium on Discrete Algorithms, 2009
Classical problems of sorting and searching assume an underlying linear ordering of the objects being compared. In this paper, we study a more general setting, in which some pairs of objects are incomparable. This generalization is relevant in applications related to rankings in sports, college admissions, or conference submissions.
