Positive periodic solution for prescribed mean curvature generalized Liénard equation with a singularity

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2020
The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the existence of a positive periodic solution for a prescribed mean curvature generalized Liénard equation with a singularity (weak and strong singularities of attractive type, or weak and strong ...

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

Existence, uniqueness and stability of solutions to a delay hematopoiesis model

open access: yesJournal of Innovative Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences, 2022
This work aims to investigate a delay hematopoiesis model where the delay depends on both the time and the current density of mature blood cells. Based on the Banach contraction principle, the Schauder's fixed point theorem and some properties of a ...

Conserved structural motifs in PAS, LOV, and CRY proteins regulate circadian rhythms and are therapeutic targets

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

EXISTENCE OF POSITIVE PERIODIC SOLUTIONS FOR FUNCTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

open access: yesKyushu Journal of Mathematics, 2002
The authors investigate the existence of positive periodic solutions to a general functional-differential equation which includes many mathematical ecological equations. They apply a new method which is based on the Krasnoselskii fixed-point theorem.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Dynamic Behavior of a Delayed Model with One Core Enterprise and Four Satellite Enterprises

open access: yesAppliedMath
In this paper, an economic competition–cooperation model is examined, which has one core enterprise and four satellite enterprises. This extends previous smaller models in the literature mathematically.

PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...
