Solution and positive solution for a semilinear third-order two-point boundary value problem
In this paper, several existence results of solution and positive solution are obtained for the semilinear third-order two-point boundary value problem μ‴ = ƒ (t, μ, μ″), μ(0) = A, μ(1) = B, μ″(0) = C.

ON POSITIVE SOLUTIONS OF ELLIPTIC EQUATIONS
Mathematics of the USSR-Sbornik, 1971In this paper the authors study weak solutions of elliptic equations of the form in a bounded domain . It is assumed known about these solutions either that they are positive, or that estimates in certain norms hold for their negative parts. It is assumed moreover that an estimate on the -norm of the solution holds on some subdomain .

Optimal position of solute for simulations
Journal of Computational Chemistry, 1997It is shown that, by optimizing the placement of a solute in a solvent droplet or in a periodic simulation cell, the number of solvent molecules can be reduced without affecting the quality of the simulation. Q 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Positive solutions for the Neumann p-Laplacian
Monatshefte für Mathematik, 2017Let \(\Omega\subset {\mathbb R}^N\) be a bounded domain with smooth boundary. This paper is devoted to the refined qualitative analysis of positive solutions of the quasilinear elliptic problem \[ -\Delta_pu+\lambda u^{p-1}=f(x,u)\quad\text{in}\Omega, \] subject to the Neumann boundary condition \(\frac{\partial u}{\partial n}=0\) on \(\partial\Omega\).
