Photon correlations in positron annihilation

open access: yes, 2010
The two-photon positron annihilation density matrix is found to separate into a diagonal center of energy factor implying maximally entangled momenta, and a relative factor describing decay.

Studies of unicellular microorganisms Saccharomyces cerevisiae by means of positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy

open access: yesNukleonika, 2015
Results of positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy (PALS) and microscopic studies on simple microorganisms, brewing yeasts, are presented. Lifetime of ortho-positronium (o-Ps) were found to change from 2.4 to 2.9 ns (longer-lived component) for ...

Catalytic Activity of Cobalt Ferrites in Water Oxidation Reactions and Its Defect Dependency

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 1, 15 January 2026.
Cobalt ferrite spinels calcined at 400–600 °C show temperature‐dependent changes in crystallinity, particle size, and defect concentration. A combination of PXRD, BET, SEM, Mössbauer spectroscopy, magnetometry, and PALS reveals how defect landscapes govern opposing trends in chemical versus electrochemical water oxidation.

Free Volume and Gas Permeation in Anthracene Maleimide-Based Polymers of Intrinsic Microporosity

open access: yesMembranes, 2015
High free-volume copolymers were prepared via polycondensation with 2,3,5,6,-tetrafluoroterephthalonitrile (TFTPN) in which a portion of the 3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'-spirobisindane (TTSBI) of PIM-1 was replaced with dibutyl anthracene maleimide (4bIII)

Hydrogen response to high‐density dislocations in bulk perovskite oxide SrTiO3

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, Volume 109, Issue 1, January 2026.
High‐density dislocations are engineered into single‐crystal strontium titanate using cyclic Brinell indentation scratch tests at room temperature. These dislocations are found effective in uptaking hydrogen. Abstract Hydrogen plays an increasingly important role in green energy technologies. For instance, proton‐conducting oxides with high performance

Positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy study on epoxy moisture absorption

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2013
Positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy was used to study the effect of water uptake on the free volume of a commercial epoxy exposed to atmospheres with relative humidity ranging from 30.5% to 95.8%. The absorption process was also analyzed by gravimetric measurements.

Selective TREF Fraction Removal: A Method to Enhance Crystallinity and Microhardness in Propylene–1‐Pentene Copolymers

open access: yesAdvances in Polymer Technology, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Innovative advancements in polyolefin chemistries are critically important to develop industrial applications that require an ability of either superior performance levels or minimal expense. While temperature rising elution fractionation (TREF) is a well‐established analytical technique for characterising polyolefin heterogeneity, its use as a ...

Defects induced ferromagnetism in Mn doped ZnO

open access: yes, 2010
Single phase Mn doped (2 at %) ZnO samples have been synthesized by solid-state reaction technique. Before the final sintering at 500 C, the mixed powders have been milled for different milling periods (6, 24, 48 and 96 hours).

Research Progress of Microfluidics in Radiopharmaceutical Quality Control

open access: yesiRADIOLOGY, Volume 3, Issue 6, Page 401-420, December 2025.
A complete PET imaging process includes five key steps: nuclide production, PET tracer synthesis, packaging, quality control and PET scanning. Taking the most classical synthesis process of [18F ]‐FDG tracer as an example, its synthesis process includes several core steps, such as: (1) the synthesis of [18F ]‐FDG Tracer, (2) the synthesis of [18F ]‐FDG

The evidence of quasi-free positronium state in GiPS-AMOC spectra of glycerol

open access: yes, 2013
We present the results of processing of Age-Momentum Correlation (AMOC) spectra that were measured for glycerol by the Gamma-induced positron spectroscopy (GiPS) facility.
