Positron Emission Mammography

open access: yes, 2015
Breast cancer imaging is a good example of how medical imaging modalities can diminish the number of patients suffering from this highly prevalent and deadly disease. X-ray mammog‐ raphy is the most used technique for breast cancer imaging. This technique is used either as a complementary tool to clinical diagnosis or as an irreplaceable screening tool

An Automated Micro‐Immunobeads‐Based Electromagnetic Operation System (MEMOs) for Blood Testing of Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents an automated and accessible point‐of‐care device, MEMOs, for the detection of exosomal Aβ42 protein, a potential blood biomarker for Alzheimer’s disease. MEMOs, with its automated operation workflow, minimizes hands‐on time and maintains high sensitivity in diagnosing AD, allowing non‐specialists to conduct tests at home and offering

Rigid Macrocycle Metal Complexes as CXCR4 Chemokine Receptor Antagonists: Influence of Ring Size

open access: yesPharmaceutics
Understanding the role of chemokine receptors in health and disease has been of increasing interest in recent years. Chemokine receptor CXCR4 has been extensively studied because of its defined role in immune cell trafficking, HIV infection, inflammatory

A self-consistent model of cosmic-ray fluxes and positron excess: Roles of nearby pulsars and a sub-dominant source population

open access: yes, 2017
The cosmic-ray positron flux calculated using the cosmic-ray nuclei interactions in our Galaxy cannot explain observed data above 10 GeV. An excess in the measured positron flux is therefore open to interpretation.

A Minimally Invasive Framework Reveals Region‐Specific Cerebrovascular Remodeling in Aging Using Intravital Functional Ultrasound Imaging and Ultrasound Localization Microscopy (fUS‐ULM)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A high‐resolution intravital imaging platform combining functional ultrasound and localization microscopy enables longitudinal, minimally invasive assessment of cerebrovascular function in aging studies. The present investigation reveals aging‐related reductions in neurovascular coupling, arteriole‐to‐venule ratio and vascular density, introducing a ...

Prognostic significance of tumor microenvironment assessed by machine learning algorithm in surgically resected non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesCancer Reports, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Background A methodology to assess the immune microenvironment (IME) of non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) has not been established, and the prognostic impact of IME factors is not yet clear. Aims This study aimed to assess the IME factors and evaluate their prognostic values. Methods and Results We assessed CD8+ tumor‐infiltrating lymphocyte (
