Positron lifetime measurements and electronic structure of CeNiSn
Positron lifetime measurements have been carried out in CeNiSn, in the temperature range of 5 to 300 K. In the 300 and 150-K temperature interval the positron lifetime is seen to decrease from 178±1 to 176±1 ps.

Generalized Beth–Uhlenbeck Entropy Formula From the Φ‐Derivable Approach
ABSTRACT We derive a generalized Beth–Uhlenbeck formula for the entropy of a dense fermion system with strong two‐particle correlations, including scattering states and bound states. We work within the Φ‐derivable approach to the thermodynamic potential.

Positron unveiling high mobility graphene stack interfaces in Li-ion cathodes
Carbon-based coatings in Li-ion battery cathodes improve electron conductivity and enable rapid charging. However, the mechanism is not well understood.

Positron-lifetime studies in the Kondo insulator FeSi
Positron lifetime measurements have been carried out in the Kondo insulator FeSi in the temperature range of 5 K to 700 K. In the high temperature range of 500 K to 700 K, the lifetime is seen to increase rapidly from ~133±2 ps to ~141±2 ps, and is ...

Ventral anterior thalamic dysfunction distinguishes seizure generalization in temporal lobe epilepsy
Abstract Objective Focal‐to‐bilateral tonic–clonic seizures (FBTCS) in temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) involve thalamocortical networks, yet the functional integrity and role of specific thalamic subregions in seizure generalization remain unclear. In this cross‐sectional study, we investigated whether thalamic subregion functional connectivity patterns ...
