Possessive pronouns in Dóngola
Bulletin of the School of Oriental and African Studies, 1978A detailed though somewhat unsophisticated account of Dóngola is that of Armbruster (1960). During 1975–6 I had the opportunity of working for short periods with a speaker of Dóngola, Mr. Ibrahim Abdel Karim, and there was little doubt that his speech was the dialect described by Armbruster.

Possessive adjectives and pronouns
1994Spanish possessives have two forms. The short forms, mi, tu, su, etc. are the normal, unstressed possessive adjectives and appear in front of a noun or noun phrase. These correspond to the English ’my’, ’your’, ’his’, ’her’: mi libro ’my book’, su casa ’her/his/your house’.

ACADEMICIA: An International Multidisciplinary Research Journal, 2020Indonesian, which is called bahasa Indonesia by its speakers, is classified as a Malayic language of Malayo-Polynesian branch of Austronesian language family [2]. It is spoken mainly in the Republic of Indonesia, as the sole official and national language and as the common language for hundreds of ethnic groups living there.

Possessive Pronouns and Reflexives in Russian
1999In this chapter, I discuss the distribution of possessive pronouns and reflexives in Russian and present experimental results of a study with native Russian-speaking children. The experimental results are shown to support the account of children’s errors discussed in previous chapters.
