Size-Dependent Buckling and Post-Buckling Analysis of the Functionally Graded Thin Plate Al–Cu Material Based on a Modified Couple Stress Theory [PDF]
Size-dependent functionally graded material thin plate buckling and post-buckling problems are considered using the framework of the MCST (Modified Couple Stress Theory).

The role of symmetry in the post-buckling behaviour of structures. [PDF]
Symmetry plays an integral role in the post-buckling analysis of elastic structures. We show that the post-buckling response of engineering systems with given symmetry properties can be described using a preselected set of buckling modes. Therefore, the main original contribution of this paper is to prove the existence of these influential buckling ...

The free vibrational characteristic of PFGM beams near the post-buckling configuration under thermal loads [PDF]
In recent years, the study of the static and dynamic mechanical behavior of porous functionally graded material (PFGM) structures has attracted much interest.

Post-buckling behaviour of a growing elastic rod. [PDF]
We consider mechanically-induced pattern formation within the framework of a growing, planar, elastic rod attached to an elastic foundation. Through a combination of weakly nonlinear analysis and numerical methods, we identify how the shape and type of buckling (super- or subcritical) depend on material parameters, and a complex phase-space of ...

Dynamic Post-Buckling Behavior
Geometric non-linear theory has been used to describe the post-buckling behavior of slender web. Hamilton’s principle in increments has been used. Examples of dynamic post-bucking behavior of slender web loaded in compression are presented.

Post buckling resistance reserve of corrugated girders with support stiffeners [PDF]
The analysis of web-corrugated and trapezoidal profiled web girders focuses on the description of buckling resistance, possibly the ultimate resistance neglecting the post-buckling resistance reserve of girders.

Numerical and Experimental Investigation on Post-buckling Behavior of Stiffened Cylindrical Shells with Cutout subject to Uniform Axial Compression [PDF]
In this paper, post buckling behavior of thin steel and aluminum cylindrical shells with rectangular cutouts under axial loading was studied experimentally and also using the finite element method. Riks method is used for analyzing the cylindrical shells.

Post-buckling dynamics of spherical shells [PDF]
We explore the intrinsic dynamics of spherical shells immersed in a fluid in the vicinity of their buckled state, through experiments and three-dimensional axisymmetric simulations. The results are supported by a theoretical model that accurately describes the buckled shell as a two-variable-only oscillator.

Effect of Post-Buckling on The Stiffness and Stress of Plate [PDF]
This paper presents a theoretical investigation of post and pre-buckling of the simply supported plate. The effect of post and pre buckling on the stiffness of plate is determined.

Buckling Behavior of Non-Retrofitted and FRP-Retrofitted Steel CHS T-Joints
This paper aims to investigate the buckling behavior of circular hollow section (CHS) T-joints in retrofitted and non-retrofitted states under axial brace compressive loading. For this purpose, two types of analysis are carried out.
