Response of Three Chloris elata Populations to Herbicides Sprayed in Pre- and Post-Emergence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
: In agricultural areas of Brazil, where there is no establishment of cover crops in the off-season and in fruit orchards, an increase in Chloris elata infestations, syn. Chloris polydactyla, has been observed.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Control of ALS- and EPSPS-Resistant Amaranthus palmeri by Alternative Herbicides Applied in PRE- and POST-Emergence

open access: yes, 2019
: The emergence of resistant biotypes of the Amaranthus palmeri species in cotton production areas of the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil, generated the need for correct identification of this species and information on viable herbicidal tools for their ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Evaluation of pre- and post-emergence herbicides for weed control in maize (Zea mays L.) [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Central European Agriculture, 2019
A field experiment was conducted during 2014–2015 to investigate the efficacy of herbicides [Merlin flexx (isoxaflutole), pre- and post-emergence; Equip (foramsulfuron), post-emergence; and Maister (foramsulfuron + iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium), post ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Emergence delirium: an overview with an emphasis on the use of electroencephalography in its management [PDF]

open access: yesAnesthesia and Pain Medicine
Emergence delirium remains a clinically significant issue, often leading to short-term distress among pediatric patients, parents, and staff, and potentially resulting in postoperative maladaptive behaviors persisting for weeks to months.

Weed Control Efficiency of some Pre- and Post- Emergence Herbicides in Maize [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Plant Production, 2019
In order to check the efficiency of some of pre- and post- emergence herbicides for weed control in maize. Total 14 weed control treatments carried out during two season 2017 and 2018 Pre-emergence as :Metribuzin, Acetochlor, Atrazine, Acetochlor ...

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified
