Ti6Al4V foams fabricated by spark plasma sintering with post-heat treatment

Materials Science and Engineering: A, 2013
Abstract Ti6Al4V foams were fabricated by the spark plasma sintering (SPS) with post-heat treatment using a blend of Ti6Al4V and sodium chloride powders. The microstructure and properties of the foams were investigated by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray micro-CT, Synchrotron X-ray, compression test and cell experiments.

Interactive effect of surface densification and post-heat-treatment on aspen wood

Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 2010
Abstract Surface densification technique can be used to enhance mechanical properties of low-density wood at a relative low temperature such as 145 °C. However, the final dimensions of densified wood products are not stable when exposed to cyclic weathering.

Accelerated detection of post‐heat‐treatment contamination in pasteurized double cream

International Journal of Dairy Technology, 1983
A technique is described which enables a semi‐quantitative estimation of the extent of post‐heat‐treatment contamination of pasteurized double cream within 2 days. The method involves preincubation of the cream sample at 21° C for 25 h, after which Gram‐negative psychrotrophic bacteria are selectively counted (21° C/25 h incubation) on agar containing ...

Effect of post heat treatment on microstructure and photocatalytic activities of TiO2 nanoribbons

Applied Surface Science, 2011
Abstract Low-dimensional TiO2 nanoribbons were synthesized by a simple one-step hydrothermal method. The TiO2 nanoribbons were calcined over the temperature range 200–800 °C in order to enhance their photocatalytic properties by altering their crystal phase and increasing crystallization.

Post-Heat Microstructural Treatment Changes in Nickel Based Hvof Coating

Surface Engineering, 2002
The effects of various heat treatments (oxyacetylene flame, argon atmosphere, vacuum) on the microstructure and hardness of thermal sprayed coatings has been studied. Commercial powder of the NiCrSiBW alloy known as Colmonoy 88 was sprayed using the HVOF (high velocity oxyfuel) process.

Post Heat Treatment Effect on Electrochemically Synthesized CuO Thin Films

ECS Transactions, 2012
We have investigated the post heat treatment effect of electrochemically prepared cupric oxide (CuO) thin films. The films were annealed at different temperatures ranging from 200 to 400°C in air medium. The annealed films structural, optical, compositional and morphological properties were studied.

Solution Processed Bi-Based Sensitized Solar Cell: Effects of Post Heat Treatment

Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2019
Nanosize semiconductors have been used as active sensitizers for the application of quantum dot-sensitized solar cells (QDSSC). “Green” sensitizers are introduced as an alternative for the toxic Cd and Pb based compounds. In this work, Bi2S3 quantum dots (QDs) were fabricated and used as sensitizers in QDSSC.

On the development of microstructures and residual stresses during laser cladding and post-heat treatments

Journal of Materials Science, 2011
In this article, laser cladding process with a blown powder feeding was used to deposit nickel-based IN-625 superalloy, cobalt-based hardfacing Stellite 6 alloy and high-vanadium CPM 10V tool steel onto a similar or dissimilar base material, respectively, to investigate the development and controllability of process-induced residual stresses in the ...

Effect of post-heat treatment on the electrical and optical properties of ZnO:Al thin films

Thin Solid Films, 2006
Abstract This paper presents the effect of post-heating temperature and atmosphere on the electrical and optical properties of ZnO:Al thin films prepared by the sol–gel method. The electrical properties of the n-type semiconductor thin films showed that for the final films, the values of carrier concentration ranged between 2.76 and 9.96 × 10 19 cm −
