Prevalence of porcine circovirus type 2 and type 3 in slaughtered pigs and wild boars in Korea
The positive rates of porcine circovirus 2 (PCV2) were higher in slaughtered pigs (78.1% in lungs, 89.5% in hilar lymph nodes) compared to wild boars (18.0% in lungs, 46.3% in hilar lymph nodes). Similarly, the positive rates of porcine circovirus 3 (PCV3) were higher in slaughtered pigs (30.2% in lungs, 13.5% in hilar lymph nodes) compared to wild ...

Revisiting Porcine Circovirus Disease Diagnostic Criteria in the Current Porcine Circovirus 2 Epidemiological Context [PDF]
Current knowledge on porcine circovirus diseases (PCVD) caused by Porcine circovirus 2 (PCV-2) includes the subclinical infection (PCV-2-SI), systemic (PCV-2-SD) and reproductive (PCV-2-RD) diseases, and porcine dermatitis and nephropathy syndrome (PDNS).

A commercial porcine circovirus(PCV)type 2a-based vaccine reduces PCV2d viremia and shedding and prevents PCV2d transmission to naïve pigs under experimental conditions. [PDF]
Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) vaccination has been effective in protecting pigs from clinical disease and today is used extensively. Recent studies in vaccinated populations indicate a major PCV2 genotype shift from the predominant PCV2 genotype 2b ...

Investigating porcine parvoviruses genogroup 2 infection using in situ polymerase chain reaction [PDF]
Background Porcine parvovirus 2 (PPV2) was detected in swine serum without showing any relationship with disease. The emergence of the virus seemed to be a unique event until other genetically highly similar parvoviruses were identified in China and ...
