Posterior uveitis is a major cause of ocular morbidity worldwide. Systemic corticosteroids (CS) remain the primary method of treatment for noninfectious posterior uveitis; however, CS are associated with many side effects. Immunomodulatory therapy (IMT) is recommended when inflammatory control is not attained with a tolerable level of systemic CS (

Asymmetrical cranial vaults resulting from external forces on an infant's head can be caused by abnormal sutural development (synostotic plagiocephaly) or abnormal external forces acting on an intrinsically normal, developing cranium (deformational plagiocephaly). The incidence of posterior plagiocephaly has increased dramatically since the initiation ...

We studied the rate of primary and secondary capsulotomy in 300 consecutive extracapsular cataract extraction (ECCE) patients, followed from one to four years. Overall capsulotomy rate was 14%; the secondary capsulotomy rate was 3%. The incidence of secondary capsulotomy was greatest between 24 and 36 months, and decreased thereafter.

Posterior keratoconus (PKC) is a rare, typically non-inflammatory condition that is characterised by an abnormal posterior corneal curvature, which may be accompanied by overlying stromal opacification. It is usually congenital and can be associated with other ocular and systemic abnormalities.

Posterior calibration of posterior predictive p values.
Psychological Methods, 2017In order to accurately control the Type I error rate (typically .05), a p value should be uniformly distributed under the null model. The posterior predictive p value (ppp), which is commonly used in Bayesian data analysis, generally does not satisfy this property. For example there have been reports where the sampling distribution of the ppp under the
