Fish Scales: A Multifunctional Biomaterial from Nature
Fish scales demonstrate nature's solution to impact protection through overlapping multilayered architecture. This biological design combines mineralized surfaces with collagen networks to achieve both flexibility and fracture resistance. The structural principles inspire advanced protective materials and biomedical implants, where damage tolerance ...

Multi‐Scale Transformer Framework for Explainable Medium‐Term Household Energy Forecasting
A leak‐safe Multi‐Scale Transformer (MSTr) fuses daily, weekly, and seasonal patterns via gated pooling to forecast electricity demand over 1–4 weeks. MSTr outperforms LightGBM/LSTM and naive baselines across horizons while offering interpretable scale contributions and feature effects.

A 3D‐printed polypyrrole/reduced graphene oxide (PPy/rGO) lattice anode with high porosity enhances biophotovoltaic (BPV) power density and current density by coordinating biofilm adhesion, light penetration, and endogenous mediator diffusion. Optimized PPy electropolymerization maximizes photocurrent and cell–electrode affinity.

Locked posterior shoulder dislocation: treatment options and clinical outcomes
BACKGROUND: Posterior dislocation of the shoulder is a rare injury and often misdiagnosed during the initial presentation to a physician. Misdiagnosis is due to a lack of clear clinical signs compared to anterior dislocation and inappropriate radiographs.
