Controlled Lattice Distortion and Lattice‐Strain‐Engineered CoCuIr Alloy toward Preferential Chlorine Tolerant Direct Seawater Electrolysis

A lattice‐strain‐engineered Co0.28Cu0.67Ir0.05 trimetallic alloy nanoparticle electrocatalyst is rationally designed for efficient alkaline seawater electrolysis. Larger Ir atoms in the CoCu lattice modulate the local coordination environment, generating compressive lattice strain and highly active catalytic sites.

Impact of Rapid Thermal Annealing on the Structural and Piezoelectric Properties of AlN Thin Films

Aluminum nitride (AlN) is a biocompatible piezoelectric material suitable for energy harvesting in MEMS resonators. Through rapid thermal annealing, a threshold for CMOS‐compatible processes is established. AlN improved its crystallinity and enhanced the piezoelectric coefficient by ∼160%.
