Angiosarcoma Presenting as a Chronic Non‐Healing Lower Extremity Ulcer in Lymphoedema: A Challenge

open access: yesInternational Wound Journal, Volume 23, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Cutaneous angiosarcoma is a rare and aggressive malignancy that may arise in chronic lymphoedema. Its presentation as a non‐healing ulcer can lead to delayed diagnosis. We describe an atypical case of angiosarcoma presenting as a chronic lower extremity ulcer in the setting of chronic lymphoedema and to highlight the importance of early biopsy.

A Rare Pseudoaneurysm of the Popliteal Artery Induced by Acute‐Phase Rehabilitation Following Total Knee Replacement: A Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, Volume 18, Issue 9, Page 1828-1837, September 2026.
Early functional exercise after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) may cause popliteal artery pseudoaneurysm. ABSTRACT Background Early rehabilitation programs are often considered essential for optimizing patient recovery after total knee replacement.

Isometric training at longer muscle–tendon complex lengths: A potential countermeasure to impaired neuro‐muscle–tendon function during space travel

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, Volume 111, Issue 9, Page 4041-4053, 1 September 2026.
Abstract Manned space exploration to distant destinations, including Mars, continues to be an aspiration of humankind. Space travel does, however, present many challenges to the body, amongst which adaptation to microgravity is perhaps the largest. For instance, both short and long manned spaceflight missions have shown substantial deleterious effects ...

Unveiling the role of the venous system in arterial hypertension: A computational study

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, Volume 604, Issue 17, Page 7145-7160, 1 September 2026.
Abstract figure legend This abstract figure summarizes the principal findings of our computational analysis of hypertension. Model‐based results identify reduced venous compliance as a major determinant of elevated arterial pressure, second only to increased peripheral resistance.
