ProvSQL [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the VLDB Endowment, 2018
This demonstration showcases ProvSQL, an open-source module for the PostgreSQL database management system that adds support for computation of provenance and probabilities of query results. A large range of provenance formalisms are supported, including all those captured by provenance semirings, provenance semirings with monus, as well as where ...

PostgreSQL 8.3

open access: yesGeoinformatics FCE CTU, 2007

The outcomes of electronic personal health records in patients with heart failure or coronary artery disease

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 1464-1468, April 2025.
Abstract Background There are limited data on the efficacy of smartphone‐based personal health records (PHRs) in patients with cardiovascular disease. This study aimed to examine the processes, outcomes and challenges associated with the implementation of integrated PHRs in patients with heart failure (HF) or coronary artery disease (CAD). Methods This

Facilitators, barriers, and insights using an HFA‐PEFF‐based clinical decision support system: A proof‐of‐concept study

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, EarlyView.
Analysis of the usage of the HFA‐PEFF score‐based clinical decision support system (CDSS) and the main barriers and facilitators to its implementation, based on a survey of physicians. Abstract Background and aims Knowing that heart failure (HF) with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) can be difficult to diagnose, a clinical decision support system ...

Capacity building needed to reap the benefits of access to biodiversity collections

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Global conservation efforts increasingly depend on digitised natural history collections, yet the benefits of this digital data are not equally shared. We analysed biodiversity specimens and citation data from Montserrat and the Cayman Islands to assess who collected these specimens, how they are used, and by whom.

Digitising biological collections to advance National Species Inventories: A case study from the flora of Chile

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
In response to Chile's public policy to establish a national biodiversity inventory and monitoring system, we launched the HerbarioDigital.cl portal. We have digitised over 120,000 specimens representing more than 3,900 species from two Chilean herbaria, integrating them through a curated local taxonomic index.

Graph Mining Extensions in Postgresql

open access: yesIndian Journal of Science and Technology, 2016
Objectives: To develop an extension for postgresql which will include the fundamental graph operations required for graph algorithms to allow moderately associated datasets to have both(graph and non-graph) concepts. Methods/ Statistical Analysis: The extension in postgresql uses the query optimizations of the SQL, although this can be done manually ...

Analysis of nocturnal urban heat advection using crowd weather stations

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
The urban heat island is often studied under calm conditions, where its development is strongest. However, effects of wind speed and direction need to be considered for a full understanding. We study the effects of urban heat advection in the urban canopy layer using crowd weather stations. Wind causes increased exposure to urban heat for areas located
