Perioperative multimodal analgesia: a review of efficacy and safety of the treatment options

open access: yesAnesthesiology and Perioperative Science
Pain in the postoperative period is a common patient experience that can subsequently lead to other postoperative complications if not managed appropriately. While opioids are a common pharmacologic tool for managing pain, there are risks associated with

Ultra‐Tiny Gelatin Nanoparticles‐Assisted 3D Stem Cell Spheroids for Engineering Tissue Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
GNPs effectively guide the formation of structurally compact and functionally enhanced stem cell spheroids. This GNP‐assisted 3D culture system improves cell–cell and cell‐ECM interactions, leading to superior viability and complexity. Time‐dependent regenerative potential is demonstrated in both bone and skin defects, positioning GNP‐spheroids as a ...

POSTOPERATIVE PULMONARY COMPLICATIONS [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Surgery, 1920
INTRODUCTION It is with some hesitation that we again present this subject.1That there remains, however, considerable divergence in the minds of both surgeons and anesthetists as to the etiologic factors, and therefore, the prevention and treatment of pulmonary complications there is no doubt.
