A Minimally Invasive Framework Reveals Region‐Specific Cerebrovascular Remodeling in Aging Using Intravital Functional Ultrasound Imaging and Ultrasound Localization Microscopy (fUS‐ULM)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A high‐resolution intravital imaging platform combining functional ultrasound and localization microscopy enables longitudinal, minimally invasive assessment of cerebrovascular function in aging studies. The present investigation reveals aging‐related reductions in neurovascular coupling, arteriole‐to‐venule ratio and vascular density, introducing a ...

Aloe‐Emodin Targeting FOXC2 Disrupts NETs Formation and EMT‐Driven Postoperative Peritoneal Adhesion Through TGF‐β1‐Smad2/3 Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Forkhead box protein C2 (FOXC2) is highlighted as a pivotal effector in postoperative peritoneal adhesion (PPA) formation. Mechanically, FOXC2 mediates NETs‐induced EMT alterations through the TGF‐β1‐Smad2/3 pathway. Aloe‐emodin (AE) ameliorates FOXC2‐driven fibrosis by blocking NETs formation and EMT changes through this pathway.

Partial Reprogramming in Senescent Schwann Cells Enhances Peripheral Nerve Regeneration via Restoration of Stress Granule Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, it is discovered that pathological accumulation of Runx2+ Schwann cell clusters during axonal regeneration is a key factor impairing nerve repair in aging. This pathology is associated with dysregulation of stress granule homeostasis.

Virulence‐Selective Trap–Capture–Kill Antibacterial Nanostructures With Immune–Metabolic Regulation for Treating Implant‐Associated Infections

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A virulence‐selective antibacterial system based on fascaplysin derivative 14‐modified TiO2 nanostructure (F‐14‐TNA) is developed for treating implant‐associated infections. F‐14‐TNA selectively traps hyperpathogenic bacteria via chemotaxis, captures them electrostatically, and kills them via reactive oxygen species‐mediated pathways.

Mechanical Force Storage and Reprogramming Hydrogel for Scarless Repair of Sports Joint Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by the energy conversion of tendons, the “energy transit station” hydrogel is designed. The hydrogel not only shields stress concentration in sports injuries, but also reprograms energy forms to provide reasonable biomimetic contraction for wounds.

Mechanical Stretch‐Induced Interlayer Coordination between MMP2 and COL17A1 Exacerbates Regenerative Exhaustion in Skin

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Regeneration reaches a hidden limit under mechanical stretch. Prolonged tension alters dermal–epidermal communication, exhausting epidermal stem cells via MMP2–COL17A1 signaling. MMP2 inhibition by Marimastat preserves adhesion and regenerative capacity, offering a potential strategy to overcome the inherent boundaries of skin expansion.

Parabiosis, Assembloids, Organoids (PAO)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review evaluates parabiosis, organoids, and assembloids as complementary disease models spanning systemic, organ, and multi‐organ levels. It highlights their construction strategies, applications, and current limitations, while emphasizing their integration with frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence, organ‐on‐a‐chip, CRISPR, and ...
