[Treatment of postoperative ventral hernias].

The experience with 248 operations for postoperative hernias of the abdominal wall is analyzed. Defects in the aponeurosis in 182 patients with not great hernias were eliminated by plasty with adjacent tissues. In 66 patients with extensive, giant and recurrent hernias herniatomy with skin autografts was performed.
