Farnesyltransferase Deficiency in Cardiomyocytes Initiates Senescence and Contributes to Cardiac Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipid overload suppresses SREBF2‐mediated FNTB expression, leading to defective Lamin A maturation and nuclear envelope instability. This nuclear catastrophe triggers a pro‐fibrotic senescence program in cardiomyocytes. Notably, restoring nuclear integrity via AAV9‐based gene therapy effectively attenuates cardiac remodeling, identifying the ...

Single‐Cell Metabolic Imaging and Digital Scoring of Fat Tissue Remodeling by Label‐Free Metabolic Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mid‐infrared optoacoustic microscopy (MiROM) acquires lipid‐ and protein‐ associated vibrational contrast in intact fat tissue without dyes, preserving native tissue architecture. Through lateral and axial segmentation, MiROM tracks intrinsic intracellular changes during postnatal remodeling. A quantitative spatial analysis tool (Q‐SAT) maps white‐ and

Is portable three-dimensional ultrasound a valid technique for measurement of postpartum urinary bladder volume?

open access: yesTaiwanese Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology, 2014
Objective: To determine the accuracy of bladder volume (BV) measurement and to identify factors that influenced the ultrasound bladder scanner (UBS) measurement of BV in postpartum women compared with transurethral catheterization. Materials, methods and

Engineered GM1 Intersects Between Mitochondrial and Synaptic Pathways to Ameliorate ALS Pathology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal neurodegenerative disease driven by genetic and molecular disruptions affecting energy balance, protein homeostasis, and stress responses in nerve cells. Studies using human and rodent models identified convergent defects in mitochondria and synaptic function.

Deciphering and Targeting the Schwannoma‐Neuron‐Macrophage Crosstalk for the Treatment of Schwannomatosis and Associated Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We established patient‐derived SWN cell lines and orthotopic PDX models that recapitulate patient pain phenotypes, alongside a novel intravital DRG imaging platform to track macrophage infiltration and neuronal pain responses. Using these models, we define HMGB1–CCL2–IL‐6 signaling crosstalk driving pain and identify EGF signaling as a key regulator of

Influence of lambing type on body weight changes and productive efficiency of Blackbelly × Pelibuey multiparous ewes in lactation. Technical note

open access: yesRevista Científica
During lactation, ewes have a high demand for nutrients, which is frequently not met by voluntary intake in grazing, a situation that causes a reduction in body weight.

CRP Deficiency Rescues Periodontitis‐Induced Hippocampal Neurogenesis Impairment by Suppressing OPC‐Derived BMP4 Signaling in Rats

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chronic periodontitis elevates circulating CRP, which enters the hippocampus to upregulate BMP4 in oligodendrocyte precursor cells (OPCs), thereby impairing neurogenesis and inducing anxiety/depression‐like behaviors in rats. Counteracting this pathway, CRP deficiency helps confer functional resilience to OPCs.
