Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome
Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (PoTS) is a disabling autonomic disorder characterised by tachycardia on standing with symptoms of orthostatic intolerance. It may present with syncope. The syndrome affects female: male patients in a ratio of 4:1 and is more commonly present in younger patients aged 15–45 years.
