Atypical Visually Guided Precision Grip Control in Middle‐Aged and Older Autistic Adults

open access: yesAutism Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sensorimotor impairments are well documented in autism spectrum disorder (ASD). However, little is known about how these difficulties present in middle‐aged and older autistic adults or how they relate to demographic factors and autistic traits.

Neurobehavioral Assessment of Sensorimotor Function in Autism Using Smartphone Technology

open access: yesAutism Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Differences in sensorimotor processing represent an important, yet underrecognized, feature of autism; typically assessed through subjective observations, which, although important, are susceptible to biases. To complement these observations, a more objective approach to assess sensorimotor function may be possible through reflex‐based ...

Safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of DNDI‐6148, a novel agent for leishmaniasis: A randomized, controlled, single ascending dose study in healthy participants

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aim The benzoxaborole derivative DNDI‐6148 is an antiparasitic agent with activity against multiple Leishmania protozoan species, including L. infantum and L. donovani, which cause visceral leishmaniasis. We investigated the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of single oral doses of DNDI‐6148 in a randomized, parallel‐group, placebo‐controlled ...

Blood pressure effects of SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP‐1 receptor agonists: Mechanisms, trial evidence and Real‐world data

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP‐1 receptor agonists modestly lower blood pressure across diverse patient populations, including those without diabetes. These effects appear largely independent of glycaemic control and offer additive value in high‐risk patients with overlapping comorbidities.

Hypnotic doses of fazamorexant induced less impairment on balance and cognition than zolpidem in healthy younger and elderly individualse

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aims Fazamorexant is a dual orexin receptor antagonist being developed for the treatment of insomnia. This study aims to determine the dose‐exposure‐response relationship of single‐dose fazamorexant vs. zolpidem in young adult and elderly healthy Chinese volunteers. Methods This single‐centre, randomized, double‐blind, double‐dummy, placebo‐ and active‐

Population pharmacokinetic modelling of amoxicillin in human breast milk—A contribution from the ConcePTION project

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aims Amoxicillin, a widely used β‐lactam antibiotic, requires improved pharmacokinetic characterization during breastfeeding. This study used a population pharmacokinetic (PopPK) approach to model amoxicillin concentrations in breast milk, identify variability sources and estimate infant exposure, applying worst‐case scenarios.
