Computerized Dynamic Platform Posturography

Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, 1997
Computerized dynamic platform posturography is defined in this technology assessment. The review discusses what computerized dynamic platform posturography measures, what the reliability and validity of the information are, and the uniqueness of the information provided. The clinical contribution and indications for testing are discussed.

Posturography as an Auxiliary in Vestibular Investigation

Acta Oto-Laryngologica, 1972
Posturography, the recording of the way in which man stands upright, proves to be a useful auxiliary in vestibular investigation. The authors divide this posturography into “spot stabilometry” (or statokinesimetry, SKG) and “linear stabilometry” (or stabilometry, STG). Special attention is paid to the linear stabilometry (STG).

An application of mathematical models in posturography

Journal of Biomedical Engineering, 1982
The measurement of the horizontal displacements (HD) of the centre of mass of the human body when standing still, is often performed by means of a platform. The resulting measured HD as a function of time, both in the left-right or sinister-dexter and the posterior-anterior direction, are known as stabilograms.

The influence of music on static posturography

Journal of Vestibular Research, 2010
It is well known that high intensity sounds modify balance by activating the saccule, which is sensitive to both vestibular and acoustic stimuli. Few studies have examined the effects of music on the postural responses in healthy subjects. The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of different types of music (Mozart, Köhler, Köhler with a ...

Mobile Posturographie

2011
Methodisch wird in der statischen sowie dynamischen Posturografie zwischen direkter und indirekter Erfassung der Körperschwankung unterschieden. Die direkte Erfassung der Körperschwankung mit hinreichender Genauigkeit bzw. Reproduzierbarkeit war lange technisch nicht möglich bzw. sehr[for full text, please go to the a.m. URL]

Clinical comparisons of posturography and electronystagmography

The Laryngoscope, 1993
A retrospective study was conducted of 103 balance-disturbed patients of mixed etiologies tested with electronystagmography (ENG) and computerized dynamic posturography (CDP). CDP was abnormal for 83% of the group as compared to 42% abnormal ENG results. In cases of otolithic dysfunction, ENG was more sensitive and gave specific information. Results of

The tilting room and posturography.

Acta oto-rhino-laryngologica Belgica, 1992
The tilting room examination technique is detailed. The advantages of posturography with the tilting room as an additional tool in the clinical vestibular examination are described for patients with uni- and bilateral loss of vestibular function, for patients with an acoustic neurinoma and for patients suffering from cervical ataxia. Posturographie in der Praxis

1994
