Stirring, charging, and picking: hunting tactics of potamotrygonid rays in the upper Paraná River
Hunting tactics of potamotrygonid freshwater rays remain unreported under natural conditions. Three main foraging tactics of Potamotrygon falkneri and P. motoro are described here based on underwater observations in the upper Paraná River.

Abstract Torpedo rays (Torpedinidae, Torpediniformes) are small to moderately large batoids that produce an electric discharge. Corvids (birds in the crow family) are hypothesised to have a general cognitive tool-kit because they show a wide range of transferrable skills across social, physical and temporal tasks, despite differences in socioecology.
