Chemical doping of individual semiconducting carbon-nanotube ropes [PDF]
We report the effects of potassium doping on the conductance of individual semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotube ropes. We are able to control the level of doping by reversibly intercalating and de-intercalating potassium. Potassium doping changes

How much of the past matters? Using dynamic survival models for the monitoring of potassium in heart failure patients using electronic health records [PDF]
Statistical methods to study the association between a longitudinal biomarker and the risk of death are very relevant for the long-term care of subjects affected by chronic illnesses, such as potassium in heart failure patients. Particularly in the presence of comorbidities or pharmacological treatments, sudden crises can cause potassium to undergo ...

Functional variation among LPMOs revealed by the inhibitory effects of cyanide and buffer ions
This study addresses the inhibition of lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases (LPMOs) by cyanide and explains how and why the magnitude of observed inhibitory effects depends on the way LPMO reactions are setup and on the type of LPMO. Enzymes known as lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases (LPMOs) are mono‐copper polysaccharide‐degrading peroxygenases that ...

Nonlinear magneto-optical rotation, Zeeman and hyperfine relaxation of potassium atoms in a paraffin-coated cell [PDF]
Nonlinear magneto-optical Faraday rotation (NMOR) on the potassium D1 and D2 lines was used to study Zeeman relaxation rates in an antirelaxation paraffin-coated 3-cm diameter potassium vapor cell. Intrinsic Zeeman relaxation rates of $\gamma^{NMOR}/2\pi=2.0(6) {\rm Hz}$ were observed.
