Iridescent Crystals of Potassium Chlorate [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 1885
WITH regard to the above crystals, described by Prof. Stokes in NATURE (April 16, p. 565), I should like to suggest, with some diffidence, that the colours may be due, not to a continuous hemitropic crystal-film, but to a series of fine tubular cavities ranged parallel to each other between the two main portions of the crystal, such as not unfrequently

Electrochemically Driven Tandem In‐Plane Reduction and FeCl3‐ Intercalation of Highly Crystalline Graphene Oxide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 2, 5 January 2026.
This study presents a green processing route for high‐performance reduced graphene oxide (rGO) transparent conductive films (TCFs) using highly crystalline Brodie's GO. In‐plane electrochemical reduction forms rGO on insulating substrates without toxic reductants or heat. Subsequent FeCl₃ intercalation enhances conductivity, overcoming the transparency–

Field Rapid Determination of Platinum and Palladium in Geochemical Samples by Spectrophotometry with Sulfhydryl Cotton Enrichment

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2015
For the determination of Pt and Pd in geochemical samples, traditional and modern analytical methods are based on assaying or activated carbon and resin preconcentration and determination by Spectrophotometry and Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass ...

Heat of decomposition of sodium and potassium chlorate [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Research of the National Bureau of Standards Section A: Physics and Chemistry, 1965
The heats of decomposition of sodium and potassium chlorate into their respective chlorides have been determined in a bomb calorimeter. The processes may be represented by the equations: NaClO 3 ( c ) = NaCl ( c ) + 3 / 2 O 2 ( g ) Δ H ° ( 25 ° C ) = - 45.76 ± 0.17 kJ / mole = - 10.94 ± 0.04 kcal/mole KClO 3 ( c ) = KCl ( c ) + 3 / 2 O 2 (

Genome‐Wide Association Study and RNA Sequencing Identify Candidate Genes Regulating Nitrogen Use Efficiency and Associated Traits in Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench)

open access: yesFood and Energy Security, Volume 15, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
ABSTRACT Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) is a resilient cereal crop with remarkable adaptability to diverse environments. Nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) is critical for improving sorghum yields, resource utilization, livelihood security, and environmental sustainability of the target ecologies.

The soybean growth cycle: Important risks and management strategies

open access: yesCrop, Forage &Turfgrass Management, Volume 11, Issue 2, December 2025.
Abstract Optimal soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] production requires accurate, stage‐specific management practices to mitigate abiotic and biotic stressors. From emergence to full maturity, a soybean plant's physiological needs and vulnerabilities change as it transitions through its vegetative and reproductive cycles.

Eco‐Friendly Mechanochemical Approach to Magnetic Graphene Oxide: A High‐Efficiency Sorbent for Environmental Pollutant Removal

open access: yesGlobal Challenges, Volume 9, Issue 12, December 2025.
The proposed nanomaterial is mechanochemically synthesized, avoiding strong acids and hazardous oxidants. Magnetic graphene oxide (d‐M@GO) is an excellent adsorbent towards metal ions and per/polyfluoroalkyl compounds (PFAS), with fast kinetics and high reusability.

Trace Element Transport and Deposition During Magmatic Degassing: The Effect on Martian Rocks and Fines

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 130, Issue 12, December 2025.
Abstract Martian magmas compositionally resemble those from terrestrial continental hotspot magmatic suites, characterized by low OH and high Cl and S contents. The magmatic gases exsolved from such magmas transport a variety of metal complexes and, upon cooling, precipitate vapor‐deposits into vugs and fractures within rocks and on the surfaces of ...

Oxychlorine Species on Mars: A Review

open access: yesReviews of Geophysics, Volume 63, Issue 4, December 2025.
Abstract Oxychlorine species (mainly perchlorate and chlorate) have been identified at multiple locations on the surface of Mars by both orbiter and in situ rovers. They have also been found in martian meteorites. Cl‐isotopes in meteoritic minerals suggest that an oxychlorine cycle has been operating on the martian surface for the last ∼4 billion years.

THE INFLUENCE OF THIOSEMICARBAZONE 2,3-DIHYDROXYBENZALDEHYDE ON CATALYTIC CURRENTS IN THE SYSTEM MOLYBDENUM (VI) – POTASSIUM CHLORATE IN ACID SULFATE SOLUTIONS [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry Journal of Moldova: General, Industrial and Ecological Chemistry, 2011
The polarographic catalytic current in acid solutions of Mo(VI), thiosemicarbazone 2,3-dihydroxybenzaldehyde (TSC 2,3-DHBA) and chlorate ions has been investigated.
