Interaction of potassium phosphonate fungicide in laterite soil.

Journal of environmental science & engineering, 2007
Potassium phosphonate is a fungicide widely used to control Phytophthora fungi species in many crops all over the world. In this paper, an attempt has been made to study the interaction of potassium phosphonate with soil under varying pH and calcium level.

Potassium phosphonate controls root rot of Xanthorrhoea australis and X. minor caused by Phytophthora cinnamomi

Australasian Plant Pathology, 1998
Soil drenches and foliar sprays of potassium phosphonate protected glasshouse-grown Xanthorrhoea minor and X australis against root rot caused by Phytophthora cinnamomi. Three concentrations of potassium phosphonate (0.1, 1.0 and 5.0 mg/mL), applied by both methods, reduced the severity of root rot symptoms and increased plant survival rates.

Determination of Complexation Selectivity of Aromatic Phosphonic Acids by Ammonium and Potassium Cations Using CE

Chromatographia, 2005
Benzyl phosphonic acid, meta and para xylene diphosphonic acid and mesytilene triphosphonic acid were previously synthesized. Now we wanted to evaluate the ability of these compounds to complex selectively potassium and ammonium cations. We based our work on two different strategies.

Oxidative radical phosphonotrifluoromethylthiolation of unactivated alkenes with alkyl phosphonate, silver(I) trifluoromethanethiolate and potassium persulfate

Tetrahedron, 2018
Abstract We report herein a mild and efficient oxidative radical intermolecular phosphonotrifluoromethylthiolation of unactivated alkenes with good functional group tolerance. The reaction operates via a radical pathway involving oxidative generation of phosphonyl radicals and umpolung radical coupling of silver trifluoromethanethiolate.

An Exploratory Study of the Nutritional Composition of Tanoak (Lithocarpus densiflorus) Acorns after Potassium Phosphonate Treatment

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2007
Native American Pomo communities who live in the Northern Coastal range of California and consume acorns from tanoak trees as part of traditional diets are facing the potential loss of many culturally important trees to sudden oak death. Pomo and other Native American communities are reluctant to use the protective fungicide, potassium phosphonate, on ...

Efficacy of Potassium Phosphonate in Controlling Phytophthora Root Rot of Subterranean Clover and Ornamental Plants in Victoria.

Australasian Plant Pathology, 1990
The efficacy of phosphonic acid (phosphorous acid) (Foli-R-Fos 200, 20% wlv potassium phosphonate) to control root rots of subterranean clover and ornamental plant species caused by Phytophthora spp. was evaluated. The fungicide effectively protected subterranean clover plants (cv. Woogenellup) from severe tap-root rot caused by P.

Control of Phytophthora root rot of irrigated subterranean clover with potassium phosphonate in Victoria, Australia

Plant Pathology, 1994
Phosphonic acid was more effective in inhibiting the production of sporangia of Phytophthora clandestina in sterile pond water (ED 50 = 1·4 p.p.m.) than it was in inhibiting the growth of mycelium of the fungus on either corn meal agar (ED

Zirconium potassium phosphate methyl and/or phenyl phosphonates as heterogeneous catalysts for Knoevenagel condensation under solvent free conditions

Microporous and Mesoporous Materials, 2018
Abstract Three different basic zirconium potassium phosphate methyl and/or phenyl phosphonates of general formula Zr(PO3OK)2-(x+y)(PO3Me)x(PO3Ph)y namely ZrKP-Me, ZrKP-Ph and ZrKP-MePh have been prepared as amorphous solids. The catalytic activity of the solids was tested in the Knoevenagel condensation between several aldehydes with malononitrile ...
