Recent Developments in Sustainable Composites for Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs): A Review

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 311, Issue 4, April 2026.
This review presents the potential of using natural plant fibers and biodegradable polymers as sustainable printed circuit boards (PCBs). This review provides future directions in innovation and sustainable PCBs development. Bio‐composites PCBs are both environmentally friendly and sustainable due to the natural fibres they contain.

Below‐ground drivers of rhizosphere functional gene assembly during Moso bamboo expansion

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, Volume 40, Issue 4, Page 1001-1020, April 2026.
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Moso bamboo (Phyllostachys edulis) expansion threatens subtropical forest biodiversity, yet how intraspecific root trait variation shapes rhizosphere microbial functional potential remains unclear.

One‐Pot Transition‐Metal‐Free Methods for the Synthesis of All Three Bonds of the Alkyne's Triple Bond

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 10, 9 March 2026.
One‐pot transition‐metal‐free methods for the synthesis of all three bonds of the alkyne's triple bond are reviewed. After analysis of several named reactions and discussion of improvements, recent advances in the synthesis of alkynes are discussed. Each section contains a proposed reaction mechanism and analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the ...

Evaluation of potassium salt of phosphonic acid in Nagpur mandarin with special reference to Phytophthora management

open access: yesJournal of Horticultural Sciences, 2020
Phytophthora parasitica var. nicotianae is a major fungal pathogen that causes foot rot, root rot, crown rot, gummosis, leaf fall, and brown rot diseases in Nagpur mandarin in the entire Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. For the efficient management of root rot and gummosis due to Phytophthora, the potassium salt of phosphonic acid ...

Influence of Technological and Environmental Factors on the Major Ion Composition in Cooling Water Discharges of a Nuclear Power Plant

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 1567-1583, March 2026.
Statistical modelling and grey water footprint analysis revealed how technological and environmental factors shape the major ion composition of cooling water discharges from a nuclear power plant. Findings highlight that while ion concentrations increase post‐discharge, they remain within regulatory limits, ensuring minimal ecological impact.

Spreading depolarization and its influence on epileptiform activity

open access: yesEpilepsia, Volume 67, Issue 3, Page 1078-1089, March 2026.
Abstract Spreading depolarization (SD) is a transient disruption of electrographic activity that slowly propagates through the gray matter by chemical contiguity, and it is characterized by a large depolarization of neurons and glial cells. SD, which is associated with massive changes in ion homeostasis, including extreme increases in [K+]o, was shown ...

Effect of Potassium Phosphonate on the Control of Phytophthora Root Rot of Lettuce in Hydroponics

open access: yesThe Plant Pathology Journal, 2002
The effect of potassium phosphonate ( or ) on the control of Phytophthora root rot of lettuce was evaluated in a liquid hydroponic culture. Phosphonate 100 ppm strongly inhibited mycelial growth of Phytophthora species in vitro but did not affect normal growth of lettuce in a greenhouse test. Application of the chemical before infection showed over 94%

SYSTEMIC IMMUNITY AGAINST SOIL BORNE PHYTOPHTHORA AND CONTROL OF INK DISEASE OF CHESTNUT BY FOLIAR SPRAY OF POTASSIUM PHOSPHONATE [PDF]

open access: yesActa Horticulturae, 2010
Chestnut ink disease represents a great risk for chestnut (Castanea sativa Mill.) in all regions of chestnut production of Europe and North America. Induced by soil borne oomycetes, Phytophthora cinnamomi and P. cambivora, both parasites infect the root system and cause root and collar rot resulting in dieback, decline and finally, the death of ...

Biotrophic Interactions Between a Mycoparasitic Ampelomyces Fungus and Podosphaera xanthii on Fungicide‐Treated Melon Leaves

open access: yesPlant Pathology, Volume 75, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
The digital micrographs show images of the infection progress by the mycoparasitic Ampelomyces strain in a melon powdery mildew fungus Podosphaera xanthii that was treated with kresoxim‐methyl and sprayed with Ampelomyces spores under the high‐humidity conditions of a growth chamber.

Non‐ Conventional Agents Enhance Sweet Pepper (Capsicum annuum L. var. annuum) Defense against Aphis Gossypii, Thrips Tabaci, and Their Predators Chrysoperla Carnea and Orius Insidiosus

open access: yesGlobal Challenges, Volume 10, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT A study conducted in Egypt evaluated the effectiveness of chemical and microbial agents in enhancing sweet pepper (Capsicum annuum var. annuum) defenses against major pests Aphis gossypii and Thrips tabaci and their natural predators, Chrysoperla carnea and Orius insidiosus. Five foliar treatments were tested under greenhouse conditions during
