Replication of potato virus X RNA is altered in coinfections with potato virus Y
Virology, 1991Potato virus X (PVX) and potato virus Y (PVY) may coinfect tobacco to cause a classic synergistic disease. In the acute stage the disease is characterized by a dramatic increase in the accumulation of infectious PVX particles, with no corresponding increase or decrease in the accumulation of PVY. The accumulation of PVX genomic RNA and coat protein has

POTATO VIRUS Y (PVY) ON PEPPER IN SERBIA
Acta Horticulturae, 2002During 1997, samples of plants showing symptoms of a viral disease were collected from thirteen pepper growing areas. On some plants characteristic symptoms of Potato Virus Y (PVY) infection were observed. Pepper samples were tested by applying the direct immunoenzyme test (DAS ELISA).

[Properties of potato virus M and potato virus Y isolates in Ukraine].
Mikrobiolohichnyi zhurnal (Kiev, Ukraine : 1993), 2013Monitoring of viruses of tomato plants (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) was carried out. Twenty-seven varieties of tomatoes from different regions of Ukraine were tested for the virus presence. New symptoms, which had not been described before, were revealed. It was found out that the diseases were caused by Potato virus M and Potato virus Y.

Host Groups of Potato virus Y: Vanishing Barriers
2017Potato virus Y (PVY) is one of the rare members of the genus Potyvirus for which the genetic diversity is structured by the plant species of origin. This structure has been explained by the occurrence in some crop species of barriers to infection by PVY isolates originating from other plant species.
