Current Distribution and Potential Distribution

1985
Much attention has been given to the design of electrolytic cells in the field of modern chemical engineering. One of the most important problems is the distribution of potential or current in such cells. The yield of products and the energy consumption are closely related factors.

The Potential for EDP in Distribution

International Journal of Physical Distribution, 1974
The past few years have seen a very marked downward trend in the costs of data processing equipment, particularly for the “heart” of such systems—the logic circuits and storage, where component costs have dropped by 75% over the past 15 years. (This drop is not, of course, directly reflected in the overall cost, because peripheral and input/output ...

Distribution of the human average movement potential

Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology, 1973
Abstract Preliminary to the possible clinical use of average movement potentials (AMP) to examine motor dysfunction in patients, we have studied further the distribution of these potentials over the human scalp and their temporal relationship to movement.

Distribution Model of Potentially Exposed Users

2019
This chapter describes the distribution model of users in vehicles that are stopped in a queue in each lane of the tunnel. The model allows to estimate the number of users present along the queue of each lane according to the traffic and the type of vehicles.

Comment on “Vortex distribution in a confining potential”

Physical Review E, 2014
A system of interacting vortices is considered as an appropriate model for describing properties of type-II superconductors, and it has been shown lately to be deeply associated with nonextensive statistical mechanics. Herein we comment on a recent investigation of this model [M. Girotto, A. P. dos Santos, and Y. Levin, Phys. Rev. E 88, 032118 (2013)],

The origin of Gaussian distributions of synaptic potentials

Progress in Neurobiology, 1995
Spontaneous synaptic potentials were identified at the motor endplate 40 years ago. These were shown to possess amplitudes that could be described by a Gaussian distribution as could the amplitudes of evoked synaptic potentials under conditions of very low probability for secretion.

Experimental visualisation of potential distribution in electrosurgery

10th International Multi-Conferences on Systems, Signals & Devices 2013 (SSD13), 2013
The transurethral resection (TUR) is a standard technique in urological treatment procedures. Both, monopolar and bipolar electrosurgical systems, are used for TUR. Whereas electrical and physical processes in surgery surroundings are well understood for monopolar systems, there is no sufficient data base for the assessment of the processes with the ...

Continuous Potentials and Linear Mass Distributions

SIAM Review, 1960
is continuous on the entire plane. The requirement that y possess a continuous tangent can, of course, be weakened to allow the tangent to be piecewise continuous. On the other hand, it is known that the smoothness condition cannot be discarded altogether.

Potential distribution inside a closed cavity in terms of surface potentials

Proceedings of the IEEE, 1987
An analytical expression for the potential distribution inside certain cavities is obtained. This expression is based on the equipotential surface considerations as produced by two confining surfaces at a time. The results obtained for several geometries agree to better than 93 percent with the results obtained numerically using the finite difference ...
