We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

An interatomic potential for saturated hydrocarbons based on the modified embedded-atom method
In this work, we developed an interatomic potential for saturated hydrocarbons using the modified embedded-atom method (MEAM), a reactive semi-empirical many-body potential based on density functional theory and pair potentials.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Aggregator Index for 24-Hour Energy Flexibility Evaluation in an ADN Including PHEVs
This paper proposes obtaining maximum and minimum daily cumulative energy curves and introduces novel hourly and daily energy flexibility indices. Also, it develops a generic methodology that quantifies and formulates energy flexibility as the possible ...

One and two electrons pseudo-potential investigation of the (FrCs)+ and FrCs systems
In this study, the potential energy curves (PECs) and dipole moments for 1,3Σ+, 1,3Π and 1,3Δ states of the molecule FrCs and for 2Σ+, 2Π and 2Δ of (FrCs)+ have been computed using a quantum chemistry procedure.

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

On the Elusive Ninth Vibrational State of the Argon Dimer
An unresolved discrepancy between high‐accuracy potential energy curves for the argon dimer (Ar2), which support different numbers of bound vibrational states and profoundly different scattering lengths for Ar2, is probed by morphing these curves to ...

Optimal hydropower potential assessment in semi-arid regions
While hydropower is a cornerstone of global renewable energy strategies, its development in semi-arid regions remains insufficiently explored. Limited and highly variable water availability often discourages comprehensive assessments of its potential. In
