Solving a Potential Clustering Game

International Journal on Artificial Intelligence Tools, 2019
Data clustering is the unsupervised classification of a set of objects into groups (clusters), according to their similarities. This can be seen as a form of equilibrium, which is the motivation that led to recent formulations of the data clustering task using game theoretic models.

Near-Potential Games

ACM Transactions on Economics and Computation, 2013
Potential games are a special class of games for which many adaptive user dynamics converge to a Nash equilibrium. In this article, we study properties of near-potential games, that is, games that are close in terms of payoffs to potential games, and show that such games admit similar limiting dynamics.

Social Context in Potential Games

2012
A prevalent assumption in game theory is that all players act in a purely selfish manner, but this assumption has been repeatedly questioned by economists and social scientists. In this paper, we study a model that allows to incorporate the social context of players into their decision making.

Potential Functions in Strategic Games

2013
We investigate here several categories of strategic games and antagonistic situations that are known to admit potential functions, and are thus guaranteed to either possess pure Nash equilibria or to stabilize in some form of equilibrium in cases of stochastic potentials. Our goal is to indicate the generality of this method and to address its limits.
