Is there a potential problem for the potential model? [PDF]
The difference between theb andc quark masses is determined within the framework of the QCD motivated potential of De Rujula, Georgi and Glashow for heavy-light and heavy-heavy quark-antiquark systems. The values, though nearly equal, are found to differ from that obtained for heavy-heavy systems determined by other methods.

Problem of a quantum particle in a random potential on a line revisited
The density of states for a particle moving in a random potential with a Gaussian correlator is calculated exactly using the functional integral technique.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Dirichlet problem for quasi-linear elliptic equations
We study the Dirichlet Problem associated to the quasilinear elliptic problem $$ -sum_{i=1}^{n}frac{partial }{partial x_i}mathcal{A}_i(x,u(x), abla u(x))+mathcal{B}(x,u(x),abla u(x))=0.

Modified adaptive quadrature by expansion for Laplace and Helmholtz layer potentials in 2D
An adaptive algorithm based on quadrature by expansion (QBX) is proposed for computing layer potentials at target points near or on a smooth boundary in \(\mathbb{R}^2\). The algorithm can be viewed as major modifications to the two-phase algorithm AQBX,

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Kirchhoff type problems with potential well and indefinite potential
In this article, we study the Kirchhoff type problem $$\displaylines{ -\Big(\alpha\int_{\mathbb{R}^3}|\nabla u|^2dx+1\Big)\Delta u +(\lambda a(x)+a_0)u=|u|^{p-2}u \quad\text{in }\mathbb{R}^3,\cr u\in H^1(\mathbb{R}^3), }$$ where ...

Effective potential energy in St\ormer's problem for an inclined rotating magnetic dipole
We discuss the dynamics of a charged nonrelativistic particle in electromagnetic field of a rotating magnetized celestial body. The equations of motion of the particle are obtained and some particular solutions are found.
