Electrochemical Behavior of Titanium Alloys Using Potentiodynamic Polarization

ECS Transactions, 2021
Titanium is for aerospace production is of 80%. In an aircraft structure, 15% of the weight is titanium. The principal reasons to use titanium alloys are the save of weight, increase performance temperatures ratio and corrosion resistance. To analysed corrosion behavior of Ti alloys, polarization potentiodynamic cyclic was employed.

Potentiodynamic polarization study on electropolished nitinol vascular implants

Journal of Biomedical Materials Research Part B: Applied Biomaterials, 2012
AbstractThe electrochemical properties of electropolished Nitinol vascular implants manufactured in a serial‐production manner starting with laser cutting of tubing and ending with electropolishing and final inspection were analyzed and evaluated over a time period of 1 year.

Unique Interpretations of Potentiodynamic Polarization Technique

CORROSION 1998, 1998
Abstract Development of the cyclic potentiodynamic polarization (CPP) technique and interpretation of the resulting curves was based primarily upon the stainless steel-aqueous chloride system. This paper presents and interprets CPP curves for this and other alloy-environment systems.
