Potentiodynamic polarization behavior of YBa2Cu3O7−x superconductor
Materials Letters, 1987Abstract Aqueous corrosion behavior of YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7− x superconductor was studied in 1 M H 2 SO 4 and 0.1 N NaCl solutions by the potentiodynamic polarization technique. The corrosion rate was found to be higher in 1 M H 2 SO 4 than in 0.1 N NaCl solutions. In comparison to pure Cu, YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7− x is more stable in these solutions.

Improved Data Recording for Automatic Potentiodynamic Polarization Measurements
Corrosion, 1968Improvements in instrumentation for automatically plotting potentiodynamic polarization curves by using a scanning potentiostat, a logarithmic converter, and an X-Y recorder are described. An accessory circuit permits uninterrupted recording of polarization currents from 10−2 to 107 μa and virtually eliminates operator attention.

Corrosion testing by potentiodynamic polarization in various electrolytes
Dental Materials, 1992The effect of different electrolytes on the results from potentiodynamic polarization corrosion testing was studied for nine different dental alloys. In general, the difference in the results was greater between certain alloys using the same electrolyte than between the electrolytes with the same alloy.

Tutorial on Cyclic Potentiodynamic Polarization Technique
CORROSION 1998, 1998Abstract The cyclic potentiodynamic polarization technique provides a reasonable, rapid method for qualitatively predicting the propensity of an alloy to suffer localized corrosion in the form of pitting and crevice corrosion. Better and more accurate techniques are available for estimating general corrosion rates.

Facilitating potentiodynamic anodic polarization measurement in corrosion testing
Anti-Corrosion Methods and Materials, 1996Illustrates how potentiodynamic anodic polarization measurement conventions can be applied to electrochemical measurements in corrosion testing following the standard ASTM G5–87 and G3–89. Provides information for electrochemical corrosion data acquisition in a standard presentation format, making comparison easy with curves found in the literature or ...

Potentiodynamic Polarization Measurement by Controlling Potential inside a Crevice
CORROSION 1992, 1992Abstract Cyclic potentiodynamic polarization measurements have been made by either controlling the potential inside or outside a crevice. The significant difference between placing a reference electrode inside and outside a crevice is that the reference electrode inside a crevice much better controls the potential to simulate ...

Potentiodynamic polarization study of the corrosion behavior of palladium-silver dental alloys
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 2018Although palladium-silver alloys have been marketed for over 3 decades for metal-ceramic restorations, understanding of the corrosion behavior of current alloys is incomplete; this understanding is critical for evaluating biocompatibility and clinical performance. The purpose of this in vitro study was to characterize the corrosion behavior of 3 ...

Potentiodynamic polarization analysis of silver-palladium alloys in chloride solutions
Metallurgical Transactions A, 1982A comprehensive anodic potentiodynamic polarization analysis of Ag-Pd binary alloys in chloride solutions has revealed composition dependent active-passive polarization profiles. The results are interpreted in terms of the transition metal properties of Pd and the electron donor acceptor theory of passivation.

Use of potentiodynamic polarization technique for corrosion testing of dental alloys
European Journal of Oral Sciences, 1991Abstract— The number and in particular the diversity in types and composition of alloys used in dentistry are increasing, thus enhancing the need for predictive corrosion testing. No corrosion test is generally accepted as being both applicable to and relevant for all dental alloys.
