PPalign: optimal alignment of Potts models representing proteins with direct coupling information
Background To assign structural and functional annotations to the ever increasing amount of sequenced proteins, the main approach relies on sequence-based homology search methods, e.g. BLAST or the current state-of-the-art methods based on profile Hidden

Ising and Potts Models on Quenched Random Gravity Graphs [PDF]
We report on single-cluster Monte Carlo simulations of the Ising, 4-state Potts and 10-state Potts models on quenched ensembles of planar, tri-valent random graphs.

Low-temperature expansions for Potts models [PDF]
On simple cubic lattices, we compute low temperature series expansions for the energy, magnetization and susceptibility of the three-state Potts model in D=2 and D=3 to 45 and 39 excited bonds respectively, and the eight-state Potts model in D=2 to 25 excited bonds. We use a recursive procedure which enumerates states explicitly.

Walking, Weak first-order transitions, and Complex CFTs II. Two-dimensional Potts model at $Q>4$
We study complex CFTs describing fixed points of the two-dimensional $Q$-state Potts model with $Q>4$. Their existence is closely related to the weak first-order phase transition and walking RG behavior present in the real Potts model at $Q>4$.

Semiparametric Bayesian Regression via Potts Model [PDF]
We consider Bayesian nonparametric regression through random partition models. Our approach involves the construction of a covariate-dependent prior distribution on partitions of individuals. Our goal is to use covariate information to improve predictive inference. To do so we propose a prior on partitions based on the Potts clustering model associated

Majorana Loop Models for Measurement-Only Quantum Circuits
Projective measurements in random quantum circuits lead to a rich breadth of entanglement phases and extend the realm of nonunitary quantum dynamics. Here, we explore the connection between measurement-only quantum circuits in one spatial dimension and ...

On the nature of a supposed water model
A cell model that has been proposed by Stanley and Franzese in 2002 for modeling water is based on Potts variables that represent the possible orientations of bonds between water molecules.

Fractal Dynamics and Control of the Fractional Potts Model on Diamond-Like Hierarchical Lattices
The fractional Potts model on diamond-like hierarchical lattices is introduced in this manuscript, which is a fractional rational system in the complex plane. Then, the fractal dynamics of this model is discussed from the fractal viewpoint.
