Nutritive Value and Nutrient Digestibility of Silages From Different Parts of Fodder Beet With or Without Lactobacillus buchneri Inoculants for Sheep

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 5, September 2026.
Whole fodder beet silage (with/without Lactobacillus buchneri) in sheep diets improved dry matter intake and rumen fermentation compared to tops or bulbs alone. Although corn silage showed highest digestibility, whole beet silage—especially with LB—demonstrated promising rumen pH, NH3‐N and acetate:propionate ratio, serving as a viable alternative feed.

Food Consumption‐Based Assessment and Related Environmental Sustainability During 1995–2015: Multidimensional Footprints, Synergies, and Trade‐Offs

open access: yesEarth's Future, Volume 14, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract The food‐induced environmental impacts are diverse and crucial for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). However, existing studies focusing primarily on impact quantification may not fully capture environmental sustainability performance, nor adequately reveal policy challenges, trade‐offs, and synergies. This research proposed a

Transforming China's Food Systems Through Joint Spatial Optimization and Management of Crop‐Livestock Production

open access: yesEarth's Future, Volume 14, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract The spatial segregation of crop and livestock production in China, a cornerstone of its agricultural industrialization, has created critical challenges for achieving sustainable food systems. However, the spatial segregation of crop and livestock systems driven by industrialization and market forces has led to inefficient resource use ...
