The Place for Form in Wollheim's Lectures on Formalism and Pictorial Organization
Abstract At the time of his death, Richard Wollheim was writing a short book on Formalism and Pictorial Organization. Much of it, but by no means all of it, had been published before (it has come out posthumously in its entirety in late 2025). Here I do two things. First, I have provided a rather detailed exegesis concentrating on the parts of the book

Abstract What norms govern aesthetic conversations? In Hansen and Adams (2024), we argue for a norm we call, following Stanley Cavell, “the hope of agreement”, along with a requirement of “seriousness”, the “discipline of accounting for one's judgments”.

Using one-sided Steklov means, we introduce a new modulus of smoothness in weighted Orlicz spaces and state its equivalence with a special 𝐾-functional. We prove Stechkin-Nikol’skii-type inequality for trigonometric polynomials and direct estimates for

Tensor Changepoint Detection and Eigenbootstrap
ABSTRACT Tensor data consisting of multivariate outcomes over the items and across the subjects with longitudinal and cross‐sectional dependence are considered. A completely distribution‐free and tweaking‐parameter‐free detection procedure for changepoints at different locations is designed, which does not require training data.

Subgrain and Cavity Development during Creep of Al‐3.85%Mg
Al‐3.85%Mg does form subgrains if crept at very high strains. This fact allows the unification of the creep description in two different alloys such as pure Al and Al–Mg alloys. It is classically considered that the creep mechanisms for type M (e.g., pure Al) and type A alloys (e.g., Al–Mg alloys) are different.

De la Vallée Poussin problem in the kernel of the convolution operator on the half-plane
We consider the multipoint de la Vallée Poussin (interpolational) problem in the half-plane $D$, $D=\{z \, :\, \mathop{\mathrm{Re}} z0\}$. Let $\psi(z)\in H(D)$; $\mu_1$, $\mu_2$,~$\ldots \in D$ be the positive zero points of this function and let the ...
