Humanimals: A Socio‐Ecological Reading of the Marseille Plague of 1720
Abstract The aim of this article is to return to a small number of historically significant first‐person testimonies of the Marseille epidemic of 1720 in order to analyse in detail their construction and depiction of human exceptionality as a form of life in a time of plague.

Approximation by polynomials on quaternionic compact sets
In this paper we obtain several extensions to the quaternionic setting of some results concerning the approximation by polynomials of functions continuous on a compact set and holomorphic in its interior.

ABSTRACT The integration of building‐level floodproofing into flood risk management frameworks is gaining increasing recognition. As property owners ultimately decide on implementation, and financial incentives can drive adoption, a critical gap remains: the absence of Building‐Specific, Context‐Sensitive, Micro‐Scale Risk Assessment (BC_MRA ...

Abstract We characterized the chemical composition and microstructure of six ultramafic cumulates from the Kaupulehu lava flow, Hualālai (Hawai'i Island), to decipher their origin. The samples are mostly wehrlites with poikilitic textures. The chemical compositions obtained from electron probe microanalyses and laser ablation inductively coupled plasma

The role of insurers in flood risk management revisited from a sustainability perspective
Abstract Floods are among the most frequent and severe natural hazards worldwide, with climate change increasing uncertainty. While the literature on flood risk management emphasizes proactive, resilience‐based approaches over traditional resistance‐ and recovery‐oriented strategies, the role of insurers beyond risk transfer remains underexplored.
