Comprehensive investigation of recycled PVC powder

Waste Management & Research: The Journal for a Sustainable Circular Economy
This study constitutes a comprehensive investigation centred on comprehending the behaviour and characteristics of recycled polyvinyl chloride (PVC) powders. The overarching objective is to successfully conclude the initial research phase, during which PVC-coated fabric offcuts undergo a transformation into PVC powder while achieving complete ...

Powder adhesive moulding of recycled expandable polystyrene

Plastics, Rubber and Composites, 2003
Expandable polystyrene (EPS) has been used in numerous and varied applications. Its products are commonly made via the steam injection moulding process. This paper discusses a new process approach using ground recycled EPS mixed with powder adhesive to produce the specimens.

Developing geopolymer concrete using fine recycled concrete powder and recycled aggregates

Magazine of Concrete Research
To develop a sustainable geopolymer concrete (GC), the efficacy of using fine recycled concrete powder (FRCP) and recycled aggregates (RA) as partial replacements for fly ash (FA) and natural aggregates (NA), respectively, was investigated. The compressive strengths of different GCs were measured.

Recycling of Burned Dolomite Powder in Steelmaking

Metallurgist, 2014
Burned dolomite powder of particle size less than 5 mm is a significant MgO and CaO resource and is obtained directly as a solid waste in the steel industry. The recycling and use of this waste material is the only option to save non-renewable resources and to conserve scarce landfill space.

Investigation of the recyclability of powder coatings

Powder Technology, 2011
Abstract 100% recyclability is one of the major advantages of powder coating. However, it can never be achieved in reality. Coating powders, especially finer powders with particle size below 30 μm, were found to have much worse flow performances after recycling from electrostatic spraying so as to decrease the recyclability. Therefore, this study was

Nickel Powders Recycled from Invar Scrap by Magnesiothermic Reduction

Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2014
A study on the recovery of nickel from Fe-Ni alloy scrap was conducted using molten magnesium by dissolving only Ni component and then removing Mg using vacuum distillation method. The recovering faction of nickel higher than 99% was achieved at temperatures above 1,073 K and 99.5% of purity level of nickel was successfully obtained under vacuum degree

Recycling of Waste Epoxy-Polyester Powders for Foam Production

International Journal of Manufacturing, Materials, and Mechanical Engineering, 2011
This paper proposes a new foaming technology (solid-state foaming) to produce structural foams from waste thermosetting resins. The proposed technology is easy and does not require specific and expensive equipments. Solid tablets are produced by cold compaction of resin powder, and foam by heating in an oven.

Study for Recycling of Ceria-Based Glass Polishing Powder

Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 2000
The recycling of ceria-based glass polishing powder by alkali treatment was investigated. Major impurities in the waste, a SiO2 component from fine glass powder and an Al2O3 component from coagulating agents, could be removed easily at 50−60 °C in a 4 mol kg-1 NaOH solution within 1 h.

Tailored Method for Recycling Degraded Perovskite Powder

Small
Abstract Perovskite materials have attracted considerable attention owing to their outstanding optoelectronic properties. This study presents a method of recycling perovskite powders for optoelectronic applications. Two main strategies are employed: a simple perovskite recycling method for slightly degraded powders and a cation ...
