Characterization of filled powders for powder coating of paper

Powder Technology, 2015
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of using highly filled powders with 100 parts per weight of calcium carbonate and 10 parts per weight of polymer, acting as binder, as electrostatically applied paper coatings. Such powders prepared by different methods were evaluated as being suitable for electrostatic coating.

Powder characteristics and their effect on powder processing

Powder Technology, 1981
Abstract The problems of powder characterization are discussed. The importance of interparticulate friction and the effects of environmental factors are emphasized. The necessity to correlate porosity characteristics with powder characteristics is discussed.

Characterization of paramagnetic species in N-doped TiO2 powders by EPR spectroscopy and DFT calculations.

Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2005
Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and density functional theory (DFT) calculations are combined for the first time in an effort to characterize the paramagnetic species present in N-doped anatase TiO2 powders ...

Powder metallurgy of nanometric aluminium powders

Powder Metallurgy, 2008
AbstractThe powder metallurgy processing (the compaction and the sintering) of aluminium nanocrystalline powder (with particle size of 100 nm) fabricated using a condensation process, has been studied. The compaction data were analysed using the Konopicky-Shapiro approach.

Powder Mixing

Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy, 2001
The factors affecting powder mixing are reviewed. Methods of analyzing a random mix are discussed (indices, the Poisson distribution, and analyses of variance [ANOVA]). The influence of particle size, shape, and density are described, along with scale of scrutiny and sampling. Segregation and agglomeration are major problems in powder mixing, and their

Carbon-doped Anatase TiO2 Powders as a Visible-light Sensitive Photocatalyst

, 2003
Carbon-doped TiO2 powders in an anatase phase colored yellow were fabricated by oxidative annealing of TiC. Carbons were located at oxygen sites. The carbon substitution caused the absorbance edge of TiO2 to be shifted to the higher wavelength region ...
