Squeeze Flow of Stress Power Law Fluids [PDF]
Fluids, 2021 In this paper, we studied the squeeze flow between circular disks of a new class of fluids defined by an implicit relation referred to as stress power law fluids. The constitutive response of these fluids was written expressing the symmetric part of the velocity gradient as a tensorial function of the Cauchy stress.

Journal of Applied Analysis, 2002 The author considers stationary flow of heat-conducting power-law shear-thinning fluid in a bounded two-dimensional domain. For homogeneous boundary conditions, the author proves existence of at least one weak solution (the uniqueness remains an open problem).

On the Stokes Paradox for Power-Law Fluids
ZAMM, 2001 We study a purely viscous flow of a non-Newtonian fluids obeying the power-law in an exterior domain. We prove that for pseudo-plastic fluids the Stokes paradox does not take place, while for the dilatant fluids it takes place in any space dimension $n$ if the flow index is larger or equal to $n$.

On Hele–Shaw flow of power-law fluids
European Journal of Applied Mathematics, 1992 This paper reviews the governing equations for a plane Hele–Shaw flow of a power-law fluid. We find two closely related partial differential equations, one for the pressure and one for the stream function. Some mathematical results for these equations are presented, in particular some exact solutions and a representation theorem.

Corner Flow of Power Law Fluids [PDF]
Journal of Rheology, 1989 A local analysis of the flow of power law fluids near corners is performed. The equation for the stream function is shown to allow separated solutions in plane polar coordinates. The radial behavior is shown to be algebraic and results are given for the exponent for different values of corner angle and power law exponent.
