Feasibility of a ctDNA multigenic panel for non‐small‐cell lung cancer early detection and disease surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Plasma‐based detection of actionable mutations is a promising approach in lung cancer management. Analysis of ctDNA with a multigene NGS panel identified TP53, KRAS, and EGFR as the most frequently altered, with TP53 and KRAS in treatment‐naïve patients and TP53 and EGFR in previously treated patients.

Pressure transient behavior in an infinite reservoir with horizontal well: Non-Newtonian fluid flow in porous media

open access: yesResults in Engineering, 2023
Many authors have worked on pressure transient analysis with non-Newtonian fluid flow in porous media. The existing work is limited to radial model in a vertical well, infinite conductivity hydraulic fracture, software simulation model and numerical ...

Nonextensive diffusion as nonlinear response [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The porous media equation has been proposed as a phenomenological ``non-extensive'' generalization of classical diffusion. Here, we show that a very similar equation can be derived, in a systematic manner, for a classical fluid by assuming nonlinear ...

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

Simulation of Lubricated Squeezing Flow of a Herschel-Bulkley Fluid Under Constant Force

open access: yesApplied Rheology, 2000
Lubricated squeezing flow (LSF) of a Herschel-Bulkley fluid between parallel disks under constant force was theoretically analyzed. An analytical expression for the fluid thickness as a function of time was obtained in terms of a hypergeometric function.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Investigation of Non-Newtonian Characteristics of Water Flow in Micro-/Nanochannels and Tight Reservoirs

open access: yesGeofluids, 2022
The characteristic scale of pore flow in tight reservoirs is generally in the range of 0.1 μm to 1 μm, which shows the obvious micro- and nanoscale effect.

KLK7 overexpression promotes an aggressive phenotype and facilitates peritoneal dissemination in colorectal cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KLK7, a tissue kallikrein‐related peptidase, is elevated in advanced colorectal cancer and associated with shorter survival. High KLK7 levels in ascites correlate with peritoneal metastasis. In mice, KLK7 overexpression increases metastasis. In vitro, KLK7 enhances cancer cell proliferation, migration, adhesion, and spheroid formation, driving ...

An experimental study on the viscosity of SPAM solutions with a new correlation predicting the apparent viscosity of sulfonated polyacrylamides

open access: yesPetroleum, 2021
Being one of the most commonly performed EOR methods, polymer injection is used to increase the mobility ratio and decrease water relative permeability to allow the injected fluid to sweep more oil towards the production well. Before the polymer solution

On the Stokes Paradox for Power-Law Fluids

open access: yesZAMM, 2001
We study a purely viscous flow of a non-Newtonian fluids obeying the power-law in an exterior domain. We prove that for pseudo-plastic fluids the Stokes paradox does not take place, while for the dilatant fluids it takes place in any space dimension $n$ if the flow index is larger or equal to $n$.
