The potential of power-to-heat in Swedish district heating systems

Energy, 2017
Abstract The main challenge for future electricity systems is to match the available electricity from variable renewable resources with the electricity demand in place, time and quantity. One option for increasing electricity system flexibility is to integrate the electricity system with the district heating systems via the use of power-to-heat ...

Photovoltaic-Energy-Profiles Used in Power to Heat Time-Lapse Tests

2014
Energy load profiles for combined heat and power in households are provided by the German guideline VDI 4655 but no standardized profiles for photovoltaic (PV)-energy are available so far. The objective of this paper is to provide PV profiles which can be used with load profiles of VDI 4655 for time-lapse tests and testing these in a hardware scenario.

PRIMJENA POWER TO HEAT KONCEPTA U HRVATSKOM ELEKTROENERGETSKOM SUSTAVU

2017
Povećanjem udjela intermitentnih izvora energije, posebice vjetroelektrana, vođenje elektroenergetskog sustava postaje izazovnije, prvenstveno u smislu sve većih zahtjeva za regulacijom frekvencije i snage u sustavu. Power to Heat (PtH) koncept, kao jedno od novijih rješenja, u suštini povezuje elektroenergetski i toplinarski sektor.

Power-to-heat as a flexibility measure for integration of renewable energy

Energy, 2017
Abstract Higher shares of variable renewable energy (VRE) in energy systems reduce electricity spot prices at times when the supply of these sources are most abundant, leading to a lower market value per unit for these sources compared to energy sources with a constant or adjustable supply.

Power-to-Heat: Opportunities in Reserve Market Participation for Flexible Chemical Production

2016
Abstract The potential of Power-to-Heat in combination with flexible operation is evaluated for the medium-temperature heat-driven chemical industry. The investigation is conducted on a representative process, the ethylene glycol production. Using a rigorous dynamic model the fulfillment of minimum requirements for dynamic operability of the ...

Power to heat koncept kao srž energetske tranzicije

2019
Završni rad daje uvid u proces energetske tranzicije na globalnoj razini, navodi njen dosadašnji tijek i planiran razvoj u budućnosti. Rad opisuje neke od sastavnica današnjih Power-to-Heat sustava, prvenstveno fotonaponske sustave i dizalice topline i definira uređaje potrebne za pravilan rad fotonaponskih sustava.
