Mn‐Induced Support Stabilization and Ir Electronic Activation Enable Acid‐Stable, Low‐Loading IrO2 Water Oxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces a dual‐regulation strategy utilizing a Mn‐doped Co3O4 support to enhance the activity and stability of low‐loading IrO2 catalysts for acidic water oxidation. Mn induces strong Mn─O covalency to reinforce the spinel lattice and activates Ir sites via interfacial electron transfer.

Terahertz Channel Modeling, Estimation and Localization in RIS‐Assisted Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces have become a recent intensive research focus. Based on practical applications, channel strategies for RIS‐assisted terahertz wireless communication systems are categorized into three different types: channel modeling, channel estimation, and channel localization.

Fundamental Challenges, Physical Implementations, and Integration Strategies for Ising Machines in Large‐Scale Optimization Tasks

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Ising machines are emerging as specialized hardware solvers for computationally hard optimization problems. This review examines five major platforms—digital CMOS, analog CMOS, emerging devices, coherent optics, and quantum systems—highlighting physics‐rooted advantages and shared bottlenecks in scalability and connectivity.

Optimal Reactive Power Allocation

IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 1987
A systematic procedure is developed to locate reactive power devices in a power system based on a set of indices, that are based on overall system conditions. After identifying the desired locations, the cost of installation and number of reactive power devices, subject to any required practical and real economic constraints, are minimized.

Power Allocation for Cooperative Communications

2010
In this chapter, we review the optimal power allocation policies for fading channels in single user and multiple access scenarios. We provide some background on cooperative communications, starting with the relay channel, and moving onto mutually cooperative systems.

The Power of Dynamic Asset Allocation

The Journal of Portfolio Management, 2014
This article re-assesses the evidence and practical relevance of asset returns’ long-horizon predictability, investigating whether practitioners can profitably exploit predictability patterns by using relatively simple, dynamic asset allocation strategies.

Adaptive subcarrier allocation, power control, and power allocation for multiuser FDD-DMT systems

2004 IEEE International Conference on Communications (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37577), 2004
This paper considers the problem of adaptive subcarrier allocation, power control, and power allocation for multiuser frequency division duplex-discrete multitone (FDD-DMT) systems in a Gaussian interference channel. Assuming perfect knowledge of all channel and crosstalk transfer functions, we formulate the problem as an optimization problem to ...

Hierarchical Power Allocation Games

2011
In this chapter, we look at the key issue of power allocation (PA) where the target is the competitive maximization of the information throughput sustained by each link over the network. More specifically, we focus on the concept of hierarchy which exists between different radios/systems sharing the same resources.

Shannon Rate-Efficient Power Allocation Games

2011
This chapter is dedicated to the study of distributed resource allocation problems in wireless communication networks. Non-cooperative game theory proves to be a useful tool to investigate this type of problems. The players, the transmitter nodes, choose their power allocation policies in order to maximize their own information theoretic payoffs ...

Power Allocation in the EU

2023
AbstractAgainst the backdrop of Chapter 2, which looked at the allocation of foreign relations powers in the US, Canada, and Belgium, Chapter 3 explores how these powers are allocated in the EU. The picture that emerges from the analysis is one of a particularly open federal union wherein both levels of governance—the EU and the Member States—can ...
