Efficient Power Conservation using adiabatic subtracter
4 Abstract: Adiabatic logic is commonly used to reduce the energy loss during the charging and discharging process of circuit operation. Adiabatic logic is also known as "energy recovery" or "charge recovery" logic. The adiabatic logic uses AC power supply instead of constant DC supply. This is one of the main reasons in the reduction of power ...

MARKET POWER, MANAGEMENT REGIMES, AND STRATEGIC CONSERVATION OF FISHERIES [PDF]
This paper explores the interaction that may exist between national fisheries management regimes through international markets for fisheries products. A two-stage, two-period model is developed in which the fishing industries of a "domestic" country and ...

Interaction of Ladle Slag With Varying SiO2 Content and Recyclate‐Based MgO–C Refractories
Ladle slags (CaO/Al2O3 = 1) with 1–20 wt% SiO2 were investigated in contact with industrial MgO–C refractories fabricated from fresh magnesia and 50 wt% recyclate. The sessile drop method at 1600°C reveals intensive gas formation, delayed slag infiltration in recyclate‐based samples, and, under high‐SiO2 slag, formation of a dense MgAl2O4‐rich ...

Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

Maximizing benefits to bat populations through management of power line corridors
Power line corridors are ubiquitous worldwide and are commonly used by bats as habitat. Targeted management of these corridor habitats has the potential to aid bat populations, which is critically important given the multifaceted threats facing bat ...
