A lack of standard approaches for testing and reporting the performance of metal halide perovskites and organic semiconductor radiation detectors has resulted in inconsistent interpretation of performance parameters, impeding progress in the field. This Perspective recommends key metrics and experimental details, which are suggested for reporting in ...

A Statistical Analysis of Multipath Interference for Impulse Radio UWB Systems
In this paper, we develop a statistical characterization of the multipath interference in an Impulse Radio (IR)-UWB system, considering the standardized IEEE 802.15.4a channel model.

This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Reverberation Time and Power Model in Indoor Wireless Scenarios [PDF]
A novel, room-electromagnetics-theory-based model for reverberation time, path gain and Power Delay Profile (PDP) is proposed. Unlike the traditional models describing only the reflections, the new model takes not only reflections at boundaries, but also

Dual-Polarized Spatial–Temporal Propagation Measurement and Modeling in UMa O2I Scenario at 3.5 GHz
Outdoor-to-indoor (O2I) coverage in urban areas by using the sub-6 GHz (sub-6G) band is important in the fifth generation (5G) mobile communication system. The spatial-temporal propagation characteristics in different polarizations in the 5G spectrum are

Experimental results and analysis from the 11 T Nb3Sn DS dipole
FNAL and CERN are developing a 5.5-m-long twin-aperture Nb3Sn dipole suitable for installation in the LHC. A 2-m-long single-aperture demonstrator dipole with 60 mm bore, a nominal field of 11 T at the LHC nominal current of 11.85 kA and 20% margin has ...

Power delay doppler profile fingerprinting for mobile localization in NLOS
For existing localization algorithms, Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) propagation introduces some problems for the determination of the mobile position. This is because most of these algorithms depend on the information extracted from the Line-of-Sight (LOS) path such as Time-of-Arrival (ToA) or Time-Difference-of-Arrival (TDoA) received by either one or more

This study demonstrates an alternative method of creating charge‐stable negatively charged nitrogen vacancy (NV−) centers close to the diamond surface without high‐temperature annealing. By illuminating nitrogen‐implanted regions with a continuous‐wave 405 nm laser, NV− centers are induced, exhibiting electron spin coherence properties suitable for ...

Exact Conditional and Unconditional Cram\`er-Rao Bounds for Near Field Localization
This paper considers the Cram\`er-Rao lower Bound (CRB) for the source localization problem in the near field. More specifically, we use the exact expression of the delay parameter for the CRB derivation and show how this exact CRB can be significantly ...
