Estimation of Power Spectral Density by Filters

Journal of the ACM, 1964
An algorithm is presented which differs from previous methods by being more adapted for searching over wide frequency ranges and which permits the estimation of spectral density as a function of time as well as of frequency. The algorithm may offer economy, especially on smaller computers.

Comparative Power Density and Exergy Density Analyses of a Regenerative Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Power Cycle

International Journal of Exergy, 2023
Many ways exist to balance the supply and demand of energy. However, this balance must be sustainable, environmentally friendly, and economical these days. Most existing technologies meet these requirements, but their use has only recently become widespread due to both political and technical reasons.

Power Density

2015
The first systematic, quantitative appraisal of power density, offering detailed reviews of power densities of renewable energy flows, fossil fuels, and all common energy uses. “There's no author whose books I look forward to more than Vaclav Smil.” —Bill Gates In this book, Vaclav Smil argues that power ...

Evaluating Power Density for 5G Applications

2018 IEEE 5G World Forum (5GWF), 2018
The next generation of wireless 5G technology is being continuously designed to meet the growing demand from different industries for more data, more devices, higher speed, and improved operational efficiency. While mmWave bands offer much higher bandwidths, they are subject to higher signal losses when compared to the lower frequency bands currently ...

On the Power Spectral Density of Constrained Sequences

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2007
This paper derives a simple closed-form expression for computing the power spectral density (PSD) of constrained sequences whose constraints are characterized by a function of an ergodic Markov process specified in terms of a Mealy machine. A suitable matrix description of the stochastic behavior of the constrained sequence is used to express its ...

Microthermophotovoltaic power generator with high power density

Applied Thermal Engineering, 2009
Abstract A promising energy source for portable MEMS devices, microthermophotovoltaic (micro-TPV) power generator, is described in this paper. The system mainly consists of a micro SiC combustor, and a GaSb photovoltaic (PV) cell array and a simple nine-layer dielectric filter, with a volume of about 3.1 cm 3 .

Fuel Power Density

Journal of Pressure Vessel Technology, 2012
Energy is transported over land primarily by electric power transmission lines and by pipelines carrying gas or liquid fuel. Pipelines today carry fossil fuels, but in future will carry renewable fuels. The fuel power density is F=ρhh, where ρ is the density and h the specific enthalpy of combustion. It is a figure of merit by which candidate renewable

A high power density VHSIC power supply

Fifth Annual Proceedings on Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 1990
A regulated 3.3 V, 10 A supply that combines several innovative approaches is described. The power stage is based on the Cuk converter which allows a very effective application of the integrated-magnetics technique: all magnetic elements (input and output filtering inductors, transformer) are combined on a single magnetic core resulting in a very ...
