Influence of Polytetrafluoroethylene Content, Compaction Pressure, and Annealing Treatment on the Magnetic Properties of Iron-Based Soft Magnetic Composites

open access: yesMolecules
To improve the magnetic properties of iron-based soft magnetic composites (SMCs), polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) with excellent heat resistance, electrical insulation, and extremely high electrical resistivity was chosen as an insulating coating material

Multiplicative point process as a model of trading activity

open access: yes, 2004
Signals consisting of a sequence of pulses show that inherent origin of the 1/f noise is a Brownian fluctuation of the average interevent time between subsequent pulses of the pulse sequence.

NASICON-type air-stable and all-climate cathode for sodium-ion batteries with low cost and high-power density

open access: yesNature Communications, 2019
The development of low-cost and long-lasting all-climate cathode materials for the sodium ion battery has been one of the key issues for the success of large-scale energy storage.

High energy efficiency and high power density aluminum‐air flow battery

open access: yesInternational Journal of Energy Research, 2020
Aluminum‐air battery (AAB) is a very promising energy generator for electric vehicles (EVs) due to its high theoretical capacity and energy density, low cost, earth abundance, environmental benignity and rapid refuel.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Review on the Evaluation and Improvement Measures of the Carrying Capacity of Distributed Power Supply and Electric Vehicles Connected to the Grid

open access: yesEnergies
With the increasing number of distributed power sources such as photovoltaic power and wind power and electric vehicles connected to the grid, the structure and operation state of the traditional distribution network have undergone great changes ...

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Linear quadratic regulator-based coordinated optimization for harmonic compensation in multifunctional grid-connected inverters

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
The increasing penetration of distributed energy resources (DERs) and electric vehicles (EVs) introduces widespread power electronic devices that significantly challenge harmonic mitigation in distribution systems.

Scaling properties of signals as origin of 1/f noise

open access: yes, 2014
There are several mathematical models yielding 1/f noise. For example, 1/f spectrum can be obtained from stochastic sequence of pulses having power-law distribution of pulse durations or from nonlinear stochastic differential equations.

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.
